Sometimes our struggles become so complex that we might not know what we need or what will help. Maybe we think we need to know what to ask for before asking for help. I believe that through the process of therapy and the development of a trusting relationship, we can discover what is needed and how to proceed. This process can illuminate new and deeply personal paths to self-understanding and healing.
I believe there is healing potential in the telling and retelling of our stories from the different angles of our experience and perspective through self-reflection. In the context of a supportive relationship, we can explore aspects of your experience that may feel unclear, overlooked, or ready for deeper understanding.
My therapy style is built on the foundation of an empathic and compassionate connection. From there, we create a process together that integrates my clinical knowledge with your unique experience and feedback to discover a path toward greater self-awareness and choice in your life. I strive to create an atmosphere that is caring, collaborative, reflective, curious, and grounded. I pull from psychodynamic, relational, and depth psychology perspectives, incorporating cognitive and structured approaches when indicated.
I provide individual therapy for young adults and adults seeking support with a wide range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, life transitions, stress management, trauma, grief and loss, relationship issues, and medical or health-related trauma.
